The Smiths 80s Band T-shirts

The Smiths T-shirts at Amazon UK If you were asked to name one of the most influential British bands of the 80s, then The Smiths would certainly be in the top five for a good many of you, I would imagine. The alternative rock/Indie pop band from Manchester may have only been active for five years (1982-87), but in that relatively short period they managed to create a pretty substantial following. The band still appear to have a big fanbase judging by the number of T-shirts that are sold through my website simplyeighties.com .  Best places to buy The Smiths T-shirts Amazon UK have an extensive range of designs, including the most popular Tee featured at the top of this page, as well as designs adorned with the band's frontman Morrissey. If you're from the U.S. then you'll be delighted to know that Amazon.com stock a range of Tees, too, although it's not as ample as the UK store. A more substantial range of brand new, "Buy it now" T-shirts can be fo

Teen Wolf 80s Movie Costume

Scott Howard Beavers Teen Wolf 80s Costume I was a huge fan of Michael J. Fox's films back in the day, and still like to occasionally watch his 80s movies from time to time, including Back to the Future and Teen Wolf. The latter would make the ideal theme not only for an 80s costume, but also for Halloween, too, which is fast approaching as I write. In the 1985 movie, the lead character Scott Howard (who was played by Fox) suddenly finds himself transforming into a werewolf, often at the most inconvenient moments. However, he learns how to control the change and use it to his advantage in the Beavers basketball team. Thankfully, there is an awesome ready-made fancy dress costume available which is actually a popular seller through my website (simplyeighties.com) throughout the whole year, believe it or not. Of course, during the run up to Halloween there is an even bigger demand for the costume. We do not sell the costume directly, but instead, link to a trustworthy sup

80s Polka Dot Ra-Ra Skirt Costume for Ladies

80s Polka Dot Ra-Ra Costume Polka dots seem to become fashionable at some point in almost every decade, and back in the 1980s, there was a resurgence in 1950s style polka dot fashion. Madonna wore black and white polka dot leggings with a white tutu skirt for the movie Who's That Girl, and Princess Diana donned several dotty outfits which had a strong 50s influence. You can read more about 80s polka dot fashion at my website, but for this post I'm going to concentrate on a low-cost costume that will look fantastic at any 80s themed event or party, and you will certainly stand out from the crowd. The costume above includes a pink polka dot ra-ra skirt and a matching bow headband. Unfortunately, it's only available in small/medium, so you may want to check out the alternative skirts below. The camisole top, leg warmers , lace tights and neon beads are not included, but you can buy these at low-cost from Amazon, and this leaves you free to create your own unique cos

Iconic 80s Logos and Slogan T-shirts

For this post, I'm going to take a look back at the most iconic logos and slogans from the 80s. As this is a fashion blog, I will link to the logos printed on T-shirts, allowing you to pay homage to the companies, films and TV shows you grew up with. These tees are ideal for retro themed parties and festivals, too. Many of the slogans such as "Frankie Say Relax" and "Choose Life" were printed on T-shirts back in the day anyway, making them an authentic choice for 1980s dress-up. Top of the Pops 80s Logo T-shirt Top of the Pops Logo This TV music show was essential viewing as a teenager in the 1980s, and the classic neon logo featured above (used from 1981 to 1986) is probably the most iconic. A full range of Top of the Pops logo T-shirts representing the 60s to the 90s is available at Redbubble. Unisex Frankie Says Relax T-shirt Frankie Say / Says Relax T-Shirt It was way back in 1984 when this slogan T-shirt was first launched, and the idea
