80s and 90s Retro Horror Movie Characters T-shirt

With Halloween fast approaching, I thought it would be a nice idea to write about a quirky retro horror T-shirt which I recently discovered. It features iconic horror movie characters from the 70s, 80s and 90s, and is ideal for wearing for Halloween, and would make a super gift for retro horror fans. Retro Horror Movie Characters T-shirt The imaginative design features cartoon style caricatures of six well-known classic horror movie characters riding in the Mystery Machine from the Scooby-Doo cartoons.  So let me run through the characters for you. Firstly, we have the hockey-mask wearing Jason Vorhees from the Friday the 13th movies at the wheel, sat next to him is Ghostface from the 1996 film Scream (and its sequels) , Chucky from the Child's Play franchise (the original film came out in 1988) is peering out of the side window, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) is at the side of the van, Freddy Krueger from the A Nightmare On Elm Street movies (the original ca

The Dictionary of 1980s Slang - from Acid House to Zits!

The Dictionary of 80s Slang by Rick Carlile As I grow older, it certainly becomes more challenging to keep up with all the latest slang terms, memes, acronyms and abbreviations used on social media by today's youth. Okay, so I know the popular ones such as WTF and LOL, but half the time I haven't a clue what they're on about! I guess, it was the same for my parents back in the 80s. The Dictionary of 1980s Slang by Rick Carlille is described as "The Totally Awesome Guide to Rockin' 80s Lingo". The author is American, and so the book is aimed at an American audience. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find a huge array of definitions (over 800 in all) that we were also using here in the UK, from acid house to zit, the latter of which I'm certainly glad to see the back of!  The 1980s was an energetic decade, for sure,

Adult's Skeletor Muscle Jumpsuit Costume If you would like to add a touch of 1980s to your Halloween/Horror themed fancy dress costume this year, then I have the perfect solution for you!  Those of you who watched the Masters Of The Universe cartoons will definitely remember Skeletor - who could forget him? He was the blue-skinned, hood-wearing antagonist with a creepy skull head, who was obsessed with obtaining the powers of Castle Grayskull and ruling the universe - someone should have told him to calm down and take a chill pill.  Of course, there was only one person who could stop him, and that was He-Man, the alter-ego of Prince Adam. Well, thank goodness! The mighty sword and sorcery battles all took place on the planet of Eternia. The original cartoon series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe ran from 1983 to 1985, but there were also two films, numerous video games, comic books and toys. This, of course, makes a Skeletor costume ideal for an 80s theme.  The costume can
