Awesome 80s Wall Clocks - How Cool Are These?

Collage of 80s Wall Clocks

I discovered some very cool 80s themed wall clocks today while browsing Redbubble, and there are literally hundreds of amazing designs created by independent artists which I haven't seen at any other store. In fact, the choice is pretty overwhelming and I could cover an entire wall with these clocks - there are so many great designs.

If you just want go and view them all then here's the link;

80s Wall Clocks at Redbubble

Worldwide shipping is available and you can change your currency on the bottom right of any page.

To give you an idea of what's available, I created the montage above which is the ideal size for posting on Facebook. However, let's take a look at some more of my favourite designs that I've picked out below and just click/select the image to go straight to the item at Redbubble. The prices are actually very decent, too, with most of the clocks available for just £20.

By the way, you can choose from different frame and hand colours, too, which is not something you can do at many stores.

I love 80s pastel shades and this design is uncluttered and stylish

A classic neon grid and sunset design which looks perfect as a clock

Well, I just love this one! Associated Television was active from 1968 to 1982, and anyone who grew-up in the 70s and early 80s will certainly remember this ident.

Back To The Future Logo Clock

Here is a logo and movie that just about everyone recognises from 1985. Choose the black frame to match the background. A white frame works well as a good contrasting colour.

Cafe 80's Wall Clock

Sticking with the Back To The Future theme, this design looks very cool indeed, particularly with a black frame.

Sinclair ZX Spectrum Wall Clock

Well, this is a must have for any Speccy fan and looks great with a black or white frame. However, there are lots of other Sinclair themed clocks available.

My Little Pony Rainbow Wall Clock

My Little Pony toys first hit the shops in 1981 and grew a huge following during the decade. I particularly like this design, but there are plenty more to choose from with a retro or more modern theme.

BBC1 Retro Clock

This is a clever idea to use the old BBC clock as a background. Just Brilliant!

BBC2 70s Wall Clock

Well now I don't know which one to get - maybe both! But wait, there's more...

BBC Two 80s Logo Clock

In 1986, BBC2 launched this new logo which was used until 1991.

80s Triangles and Grid Wall Clock

Who doesn't love an 80s triangle? I love the soft, pastel colours.

This one has a similar theme but is slightly bolder.

80s Memphis Art Wall Clock

If you like bold patterning then this eye-catching design may be more your style.

Neon Grid Triangles Wall Clock

Grids, triangles and neon streaks feature in this striking design

So these are all of my favourite designs and I hope you like them, too. Redbubble have, by far, the best range of clocks I've seen with an eighties theme, and the prices are excellent. Don't forget that you can change the colour of the hands which is is very useful if you actually want to see the time!

Blondie - Debbie Harry - 70s and 80s Fashion Photos

Embed from Getty Images Debbie Harry Fridge Magnet Back in my school days (yes, it was a long, long time ago!) many kids associated Blondie purely with lead singer Debbie Harry, although Blondie was actually a band, and a damn fine one, too. It's not hard to see why. After all, she oozed sex appeal and became a style icon, and many of her looks can still be seen on the high street today. Harry's designer friend Stephen Sprouse can claim responsibility for many of those looks. He created every style you can imagine using denim, black leather biker jackets, camoflauge, wayfarer and aviator shades, pink and girly styles, nautical stripes, animal print catsuits - the list goes on! I find it amusing that in 1998 Britney Spears caused controversy by wearing a school uniform for her video "Hit Me Baby One More Time". How quickly we forget that Debbie Harry had done this two decades earlier! After forming in 1974, Blondie became pioneers of the punk and new wave s

Create an 80s or 90s Acid House - Raver Look

With its squelching bass sounds (often created using a Roland TB-303 bass synth) and minimalist production, the sound of acid house first became popular in the latter half of the 80s, starting in 1987. The media were more focused on the illegal raves and psychedelic drugs, but in reality, a good many young folk enjoyed dancing to the new sound in nightclubs (including myself) without going anywhere near any drugs or illegal raves. What is synonymous with the acid house scene is the smiley face logo, and the T-shirt featuring the logo, along with tie dye and psychedelic clothing, and bucket hats which became popular with ravers. Baggy over the knee shorts were popular with men. Bandanas and dungarees/dungaree shorts were also worn by both sexes. Some ravers also had  yellow whistles . In the early 90s,  white overalls , hooded anoracks and  yellow dust masks with an "E" , smiley face or radiation symbol also became part of the rave scene. Initially, the dust masks we

An 80s Tennis Player Costume? You Cannot Be Serious!

While most people opt for a pop star theme when dressing up for an 80s party or event, one option that is a little more original is to dress like an 80s tennis player. The costumes I'm about to show are obviously based on John McEnroe, and I'm dead serious! The short-tempered tennis star became infamous for his confrontational behaviour towards the umpire during the 1980s, screaming "Answer my question! The question, jerk!" (when he angrily threw his racket at the juice cart) and "You can't be serious man, you cannot be serious!" when he thought the umpire had made a bad call about the ball being out. He was often booed by the crowds for his rants, but it was hugely entertaining to watch! Embed from Getty Images The look above is the one you should aim for, and this is the most iconic. So let's take a look at the fancy dress costume options available...     The white T-shirt and shorts outfit with red and blue stripes is based on McEn
